The Workpiece Thickness Measurement Module uses a sensor whose output voltage is an analog signal between 0-10 V to sort workpieces according to their thickness. The workpiece is raised and pressed against the sensor in order to determine its thickness based on the output voltage, with the test result then applied during the carriage’s descent phase. As a result, the workpiece is released onto the first chute if it falls within the set limits, or rejected onto the second chute otherwise.
